CTSI National Activities
CTSA National Consortium
UCSF's CTSI is a part of NIH's CTSA consortium, now including 38 participating institutions. NIH plans on funding a total of 60 academic research institutions into the consortium.
The national consortium activities are managed through a series of working groups. UCSF has representation on all national working groups and in this way contributes to national strategies on improving clinical and translational research.

Child Health Oversight
- Jennifer Puck, MD, serves as ex-officio for the national operations working group.
Informatics
- Data Repositories — Led by Michael Kamerick, this group is setting standards for clinical & research data exchange between institutions.
- Collaboration Facilitation — Led by Mini Kahlon, PhD, this group is learning from each other and through experts, the best ways to leverage virtual environments to enhance collaboration.
- Human Studies Database — Led by Ida Sim, MD, PhD, this group is developing standard ontologies to describe human studies.
